The overall standard of entry was high with the Natural History images being particulary strong, the underwater work was exceptional. In the General Section, there was a good variety of subject matter with many impressive human studies.
Many otherwise good images were let down by poor copying or digital file transfer. With refinement and greater care it is possible to achueve excellent transparencies from digital files. Poor exposure detracted from the quality of some images and entrants should be encouraged to check thier slides by projection prior to submission.
We are confifent that the selected images will form a first class exhibition which reflects the diversity of work being currently done in the UK.
