Unfortunatly on this, our 30th Exhibition, our entries were again down, and, we hope, that this is partly due to the postal strike, which happened at the worst possible time. I am sure that many people did not post entries because of the strike and some were delayed in the post and did not arrive in time although we did accept anything that arrived on the Friday! I am sure that the digital age has also had ab umpact on the number of slide workers but do remember that transparencies can be made from digital files, It is great to see so many entering and getting acceptances in both the general and natural history sections. Maybe the time has come for a digital section to be introduced and the committee will be considering the wayward.
The present Committee thank those who started this Exhibition in 1978 for thier foresight and continued support throughout the years. The Exhibition has put Dingwall Camera Club firmly on the map in photographic circles.
We at Dingwall sincerly thank our Selectors for their time and dedication in carrying out their duties and hope that they enjoyed their task, we certainly enjoyed their company and the efficient way they carried out theit duties.
The continued support of all who have entered is much appreciated as without entries there would be no Exhibition so please do not all forget transparencies. Please continue to support us as we are the only slide exhibition still operating in Scotland!
Without the support of entrants and the band of willing helpers at Dingwall Camera Club this Exhibition would not be possible so a very sincere THANK YOU to you all.
THANK YOU
